JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 36-year-old Middleburg woman involved in a prior crash died early Sunday morning when a semitruck collided with her vehicle on Interstate 95 near Bowden Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said the woman was stopped in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Bowden Road after she was involved in a crash.

A semitruck driver was headed north on the interstate as it approached the woman‘s vehicle a little after 5 a.m., the report said.

Troopers said the front of the semi crashed into the sedan’s driver’s side, causing both vehicles to be pushed into the right shoulder of I-95.

The woman died from her injuries. The semi driver was uninjured, according to the report.
