One person was killed and five people were injured after a shooting at a nightclub in the West 7th Entertainment District in Fort Worth late Saturday night, police said.
Officers were called to the 3000 block of Bledsoe St. around 1:40 a.m., according to a press release from Fort Worth PD. When they arrived, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his torso, and medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police also found five additional shooting victims who were transported to local hospitals for treatment. All of them appear to be in stable condition, police said.
No suspects are in custody at this time. Police said the unknown suspects fired handguns inside of a business in what appears to be an “unprovoked shooting.” The suspects reportedly fled the scene on foot after the shooting.
Fort Worth police said the investigation is still preliminary, but it appears to be gang-related.
The victim was identified as 31-year-old Patrique Allen, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office.
