SAPD: Suspect in critical condition, shot by employee during attempted robbery

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man suspected of attempted armed robbery is fighting for his life after he was shot on the West Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

KENS 5 reports the man was shot at the Pal Vape Dispensary in the 1400 block of Bandera Road late Saturday night. Investigators say an employee working at the shop fired their own gun several times after the suspect walked into the shop wearing a mask and demanded unspecified property.

According to SAPD, the suspect was hit and then rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

As of Sunday evening, no charges had been filed against the employee.
