SAN ANTONIO — A man was fatally shot on Sunday night in what police say was a dispute over a stolen TV on the city’s West Side.
Emergency crews responded just before 9 p.m. to the 5900 block of West Cesar Chavez Boulevard near SW 36th Street.
Police on scene said they were called to the same location earlier in the day for reports of a stolen TV. A man reported that his TV was stolen from his front porch.
About 45 minutes later, officers received reports of a man down and upon arrival, found a male victim in his 30s-40s lying in front of the home with two gunshot wounds.
Police said the victim shot was suspected in the TV theft and it appears the suspected shooter came outside of the home and shot the man.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the San Antonio Fire Department.
Police have detained a male in his 20s for questioning. No charges have been filed at this time.
