Traffic cones, barrels and roadwork signs were flung onto the road early Saturday morning
A 42-year-old has been charged after someone tossed several objects onto Great Northern Road early Saturday morning.
Sault Ste. Marie Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Great Northern Road around 3:30 a.m., where it was discovered that someone threw traffic cones, barrels and roadwork signs on the road.
The accused was later located walking on Great Northern Road at Old Highway 17 North and was arrested.
Matthew Wight was charged with Mischief – Interfere with Lawful Use, Enjoyment, or Operation of Property – Under $5,000.
Wight was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 1.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
