Nonstop Santa Fe to Los Angeles flights have begun
New route saves travelers hours driving to Albuquerque and stopping in Phoenix

Thanks to American Airlines, residents of the state’s capital city are now able to take a commercial flight directly to Los Angeles. The nonstop flights began Monday, and not even counting the 60-mile drive from Santa Fe to the Sunport, the trip will take about half the time of flights that stop in Phoenix on the way to L.A.: just over two hours compared to three hours, 50 minutes.For now, American Airlines has six round-trip L.A. to Santa Fe flights a week, with no more than one a day each way.Information and booking flights can be done online at aa.com.
