The Keene Police Department responded to an unusual call downtown Sunday.

Police said they received reports of a moose that had wandered into the city.

New Hampshire Fish and Game assisted Keene police to ensure the animal stayed away.

Fish and Game officials are reminding the public to give moose plenty of space if they encounter one.
