Head coach Mark Daigneault used a deep rotation again as the Thunder continued to emphasize development and rhythm over results early in the preseason.

When the two teams met Sunday in North Charleston, South Carolina, the Thunder cruised to a 135-114 victory behind balanced scoring and impressive offensive flow.

With most of the main rotation resting, Usman Jang, Aaron Wiggins, and Jaylin Williams led the way. Williams was particularly sharp, knocking down five three-pointers, while rookie Nikola Topić logged meaningful minutes in his first NBA action.

“Those guys went out there and played,” Daigneault said after that game. “The ball moved really well and we got into a nice rhythm. It was a good starting point for us.”

Wiggins echoed that sentiment, saying the team focused on growth and chemistry.

“It was more about us kind of growing as a team and working on the things we prioritize,” Wiggins said.
