Abrazo Central Campus’ nursing staff recently partnered with Maryland School on Sept. 22 to provide support during the school’s annual on-campus student health screenings.

Maryland School, serving more than 600 K-8 students, and the annual health screening event offers  hearing and vision checks to help ensure kids are set up for a successful school year and ready to learn in good health.

Trained audiologists and screeners from the school performed the exams, and Abrazo’s nursing team helped coordinate the process and offered support throughout the day.

“Our heartfelt thanks for Abrazo’s generous support in providing nurses to complete our students’ vision and hearing screenings,” Maryland School principal Nick Gupton said in a release. “This was the kind of collaboration that strengthens schools and builds brighter futures for children. Our partnership with Abrazo helps us invest in the health and well-being of our students.”

The ongoing partnership between Maryland School and Abrazo Central Campus highlights the hospital’s dedication to community wellness.

“It reflects our ongoing commitment to extending care beyond our hospital walls and strengthening ties with our community partners,” said Gregory Pearson, Abrazo Central Campus CEO in a release.
