SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A woman is expected to recover after she was shot several times while inside a car on the North Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Investigators say some kind of fight led to the shooting, but it is unclear what the altercation was about.

Officers responded to the scene in the 4400 block of De Zavala Road around 3 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, they say the victim had three gunshot wounds, including one to the hand, arm and elbow.

SAPD says just before the shooting, the victim had walked out of a business with a man and another woman. Investigators say all three got into a car, and that is where the fight broke out. Soon after, it is believed the man got out, pointed the gun at the car, and fired multiple shots, hitting the woman.

Detectives are looking for the man and the other woman, who both ran away before police arrived.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
