A new medical practice has opened in York County.
TrueCare Family Medicine opened at 73 E. Forrest Ave., Suite 330, in Shrewsbury last month.
The practice is led by Dr. Lauren Heagy and offers a “direct primary care” model where patients pay a monthly membership fee that includes in-office and virtual visits; direct communication with the doctor via phone, email, or text; routine screenings; and discounted prescriptions and labs.
“We offer unlimited visits, same- or next-day appointments, direct access to the doctor, discounted labs and medications, and extended appointment times — all without the restrictions of traditional insurance,” the practice said in a news release. “Our mission is to make high-quality, personalized healthcare accessible to individuals, families, and local businesses in our community.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. October 24 with the York County Economic Alliance.
