PHOENIX — Authorities issued a SAFE Alert for a missing 40-year-old man who was last seen Monday night.

Valentino Trujillo was last seen near 12th Street and McDowell Road in Phoenix around 8 p.m. on Monday, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).

His family is concerned for his welfare as Trujillo has a medical condition that can cause him to become lost or confused, according to DPS.

Trujillo was described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 150 pounds. He is bald and has brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt and gray and white checkered shorts, according to DPS.

Anyone with information on Trujillo’s whereabouts is asked to call the Phoenix Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 602-534-2121 or email Detective Phillip Fortuna at phillip.fortuna@phoenix.gov.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older or who suffer from dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
