PHOENIX — Bus service in downtown Phoenix will undergo major changes, Valley Metro announced on Thursday.

The service changes will be implemented on Oct. 27 to better the connections between local bus, Express/RAPID routes and the light rail, the regional transit system said.

What service changes did Valley Metro announce in downtown Phoenix?

The Greg Stanton Central Station will reopen and serve routes 0, 1, 3, 7, 10 and DASH.

Multiple bus stops in downtown Phoenix will also be relocated, and Express and RAPID routes will both be modified to use the Downtown Phoenix Hub.

The Paradise Valley Transit Center will also relocate, affecting routes 44 and 138.

More than 30 bus and RAPID routes will see schedule adjustments as a result of the changes. Light rail and streetcar service will be impacted as well.

The transportation authority encourages passengers to download the Valley Metro app to plan their trips or use the trip planner.
