The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce (FWC) recognized several local businesses at its annual “State of the City” luncheon, presented by Simmons Bank, on Thursday, October 16, at Dickies Arena. The program included presentations of FWC’s 2025 Small Business of the Year Awards as well as The Best Place for Working Parents® Innovator Awards.  Presented by Bank of Texas, these annual awards honor outstanding Fort Worth small businesses that demonstrate exemplary best practices. The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation  The Foundation was formed in 2014 with the mission to prevent suicide, eliminate stigma, and provide hope to people struggling with depression. Since 2023, the Foundation’s work has led to a decrease in all deaths by suicide in Tarrant County by 20%, and youth deaths have fallen by close to 90% – to five — in the 2024-2025 school year.
