2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion and FOX Sports analyst Kevin Harvick is worried about Michael Jordan’s NASCAR team and has raised concerns about the pace of 23XI Racing pair, Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace.

On an eventful Saturday night at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta, home hero Chase Elliott clinched a victory in a thrilling finish, overtaking Brad Keselowski on the last lap after generously donating $500K, which was commemorated with a special paint scheme on his car. The chaotic race witnessed 12 competitors unable to complete the event as a huge crash caused chaos for In-Season Challenge brackets.

In the Quaker State 400, Reddick secured fourth place while a visibly irritated Wallace, fresh off his frustrations from the Mexico City race, managed only to finish in a lackluster 22nd position. This underperformance is quite unexpected, especially considering Reddick’s regular season championship win just the previous year.

Consequently, both Wallace, Reddick, and Riley Herbst are yet to secure their spots in the postseason races. Harvick acknowledged his apprehensions about their speed at this juncture of the season.

During his ‘Happy Hour’ podcast, Harvick said: “I would say that there are some concerns about the 23XI speed in general,” and elaborating further, “I don’t think Reddick has been as fast.

“I think Bubba started really well and has been kind of average, I’d say, in a lot of the most recent weeks. So I think that to me, the speed part from the 45 car is concerning to me.

“I think that he’s [Wallace] done a good job with his experience in keeping the cars in races and getting decent finishes out of it. But that overall raw speed I haven’t seen from either one of them [him or Reddick] in several weeks.”

Wallace, notably, had a tough time in Atlanta, finishing 22nd and marking his second consecutive race outside the top 20. His performance has been dismal; five of Wallace’s last eight races have seen him finish 22nd or lower, with four ending between 33rd and 36th.

Wallace is teetering on the edge of the playoff picture, just 23 points above Ryan Preece who is below the cut line. Meanwhile, Reddick’s fourth-place finish widened his points lead over the cut line to 128.

Wallace, Reddick, and Herbst are all aiming for their first win of the season for 23XI Racing at the Chicago Street Course on Sun. , July 6.
