The UEFA Champions League returned on Tuesday and it was a day plenty of action as Barcelona kicked off the early matches with a 6-1 win over Olympiacos thanks to the hat trick of Fermin Lopez and an outstanding performance of the team managed by Hansi Flick. Later, Arsenal scored four goals in less than 20 minutes against Atletico Madrid in the second half at the Emirates Stadium, in one of the best matches of the season so far. PSG netted seven goals against Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena, a match that also marked the return of 2025 Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele following a muscle injury that had kept him out in recent weeks and he made an immediate impact, scoring just two minutes after coming on.

Elsewhere, Inter won 4-0 against Union SG, showcasing their excellent form ahead of their Serie A clash with Napoli on Saturday. Napoli, meanwhile, suffered a heavy 6–2 defeat at PSV, with Ricardo Pepi scoring and assisting in the final minutes. In other matches, Jose Mourinho’s Benfica fell 3–0 at Newcastle, while Manchester City secured a comfortable 2–0 away win against Villarreal, making it an easy Spanish trip for Pep Guardiola and his side.
