SAN ANTONIO – Authorities have arrested a man in connection to a fatal shooting outside of a West Side bar.

43-year-old Ramiro Espinoza Jr, is accused of the shooting that occurred on Oct. 19, 2025 outside a business on Historic Old Highway 90.

Julio Cesar Martinez Padron, 59, was found unresponsive in his vehicle with gunshot wounds to his head. Witnesses reported that an argument between Padron and Espinoza began inside the location and escalated outside.

The suspect retrieved a handgun from his vehicle, approached Padron’s car, and allegedly said, “I got you now,” before firing multiple shots.

Padron was transported to University Hospital, where he died the following day. Witnesses identified the suspect through a photo lineup, and police used surveillance footage and license plate recognition to track the suspect’s vehicle.

Ramiro Espinoza Jr. has been charged with murder. Jail records show he was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on Tuesday.
