If you’ve been following NASCAR during the 2025 Cup Series, you know that Christopher Bell of Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) has been on fire this fall. He won the Bass Pro Shops Night Race in September and followed it up with three top-3 finishes since. Could it be the switch to the No. 20 COOFANDY car? Certainly hasn’t hurt.
Here’s what Clay Sauertieg, our resident NASCAR expert, had to say about Bell’s recent performance:
Christopher Bell was pretty anonymous at Talladega. But that may not be a bad thing.
Bell entered the race at the Superspeedway needing to avoid complete disaster, and he did just that. He scored points in both stages before taking home a solid eighth-place finish, bolstering his position in the standings.
He, like [Kyle] Larson, now entered the final race of the semifinal round needing only to avoid a new winner in order to qualify for the championship race for the third time in four years.
Tune in this Sunday on NBC to see Christopher Bell drive his No. 20 COOFANDY car to victory at the Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia for the final race before the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race on November 2.
