  • July 2, 2025

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was found dead early Wednesday morning in the breezeway of an apartment complex on Jacksonville’s Westside, police said.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the man had been in a dispute before he was killed, but the relationships of those involved are not clear.

Police said the man, who was found at the Cross Creek apartments shortly after a 911 call at 3:30 a.m., appeared to have suffered multiple blunt force injuries.

A heavy police presence could be seen throughout the morning at the complex on Manotak Avenue near San Juan Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500 or at jsocrimetips@jaxsheriff.org. You can also stay anonymous and contact CrimeStoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
