Warm and dry weekend ahead for Phoenix area

Warm and dry weekend ahead for Phoenix area

  • October 24, 2025

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Sunny and quiet weather is on tap for the Valley and state on this Friday and heading into the weekend. In the Valley, look for a high of 85 degrees this afternoon under clear skies. That’s just one degree below average for this time of year in Phoenix.

A dry weekend is ahead for Arizona. In the Valley, expect cool mornings with lows ranging from the mid-50s to the low 60s and afternoon temperatures climbing to the upper 80s. Highs will be near 87 on Saturday and 88 degrees on Sunday. Winds should stay fairly light.

High clouds are expected to push through Arizona late Saturday night and into Sunday morning as an area of low pressure moves by to the north of our state. No rain is likely for Arizona, but gusty southwesterly winds will develop Sunday in the mountains as this low pushes through the region. Look for 20 mph sustained winds that could gust upwards of 30 mph or more during the afternoon hours.

Next week, high pressure begins to build over our region, keeping conditions dry and temperatures warm. Afternoon highs in Phoenix will climb to around 90 by Tuesday and should hover in the low 90s through at least Thursday. At this point, Halloween looks dry and warm with highs in the upper 80s Friday afternoon and trick or treating temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.
