A total of 79,409 New Yorkers cast their ballots on the first day of early voting in the 2025 general election, according to the city’s Board of Elections.

Manhattan saw the highest turnout, with 24,046 voters. Brooklyn was second, with 22,105, followed by Queens with 19,045, the Bronx with 7,793 and Staten Island with 6,420, the BOE said.

Saturday’s turnout is a substantial increase from the first day of early voting in the June primary earlier this year, when 30,553 New Yorkers voted, and the first day early voting in the general election four years ago, when 15,418 New Yorkers casted ballots.

Polls will be open for early voting every day through Sunday, Nov. 2, and again on Tuesday, Nov. 4 for Election Day. Visit here for a full schedule.
