The hiker suffered a leg injury and could not continue down the trail, officials said.
PHOENIX — A helicopter was called to help rescue an injured hiker from a mountain in Phoenix, officials with the Phoenix Fire Department said.
Technical rescue crews responded to the trail, near 55th Avenue and Happy Valley Road, for reports that a hiker had an injury to their leg. Crews made contact with the hiker and plan to use a helicopter to hoist the person off of the mountain.
