A woman was shot at an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road, police said.
PHOENIX — A woman was rushed to a hospital in “extremely critical condition” after being shot in west Phoenix, according to officials with the city’s police department.
Officers responded to an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road after reports that the woman had been shot. Phoenix fire crews took the woman to the hospital.
Officers have the complex closed off while they search for the person responsible for the shooting and said as of 5:45 p.m., it was a “very active scene.” They are asking all residents to stay inside their apartments “for the time being.”
