Police departments across the Valley are investigating multiple violent incidents tied to Halloween parties over the weekend, including two shootings and a stabbing.
Phoenix shooting
The first shooting happened around 11:20 p.m. Saturday near 99th Avenue and Camelback Road in Phoenix, according to police.
Officers were called to reports of a shooting at a Halloween party and found two men who had been shot. Police say others at the party took the victims to the hospital before officers arrived.
Both men reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives say the suspect left the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
Mesa stabbing
Shortly after midnight Sunday, Mesa police responded to a home near Loop 101 and Baseline Road for reports of a stabbing during a large party.
Investigators say a fight broke out involving several unwanted guests and one of the partygoers. When officers arrived, they found a man with a stab wound.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police later determined that another man, identified as a 19-year-old man, was the primary aggressor in the fight.
The 19-year-old was arrested and faces charges including disorderly conduct, threats, and third-degree trespassing.
Scottsdale shooting
About an hour later, just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Scottsdale police responded to a home near Thompson Peak Parkway and Bell Road for reports of a large Halloween party.
While officers were on the way, dispatchers were told that someone at the party had been shot.
Police say they found the victim and several witnesses when they arrived. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are continuing to investigate.
