SAN ANTONIO – A hit-and-run right outside a fire station has left a man hospitalized with serious injuries.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, police were called to the scene at North Zarzamora Street and Culebra Road for a reported pedestrian accident.
When police arrived, they found firefighters loading the injured pedestrian into an ambulance. He was rushed to Brooke Army Medical Center in critical condition.
According to officers on scene, a man who was crossing the road in front of the fire station was struck by an unknown sedan.
The sedan slowed down, before speeding up again, with the driver failing to stop and render aid.
Police have no description of the sedan at this time, other than it may have been a more boxy make/model. When found, the driver will be arrested for Collision Involving Injury.
