The remaining WTA Jiujiang round of 32 matches will be completed on day two and, always, we here at LWOT predict every match on the slate including Ann Li vs Bai Zhuoxuan. But who will book their spot in the second round in China?
WTA Jiujiang Day 2 Predictions
Viktorija Golubic vs Rina Saigo
Head-to-head: first meeting
Viktorija Goulbic shouldn’t have any problems here. Rina Saigo played well in qualifying, but she has never been ranked inside the top 300, and this match will be a good learning experience for her but not much more. The experienced Golubic’s Asian swing has included winning a 125K tournament in Suzhou and reaching the quarterfinals in Osaka. If she can maintain that sort of level, she should triumph comfortably here at the WTA Jiujiang Open.
Prediction: Golubic in 2

Yuan Yue vs Elena Pridankina
Head-to-head: first meeting
Elena Pridankina was thrashed by Rina Saigo in the qualifiers but was handed a reprieve in the form of a spot in the main draw as a lucky loser. She will almost certainly need a better performance against the more accomplished Yuan Yue. Indeed, despite having had a patchy season, the home favourite probably isn’t in any real danger of being upset by Pridankina.
Prediction: Yuan in 2
Claire Liu vs Kaja Juvan
Head-to-head: Juvan 1-0 Liu
Claire Liu had a great week at last week’s Guangzhou Open. The 25-year-old won five matches from qualifying to reach the semifinals, where she was stopped by Lulu Sun. Kaja Juvan’s impressive results in the last few months include two 125K titles in Ljubljana and Samsun so she should be playing with real confidence. However, despite those solid results, Liu’s more powerful hitting might ultimately prove decisive in this matchup.
Prediction: Liu in 3

Alycia Parks vs Zhu Lin
Head-to-head: Zhu 1-0 Parks
Alycia Parks has lost eight consecutive matches without winning a set. By some measures that record makes it admirable that she elected to play at WTA Jiujiang instead of ending her season early with the American looking to find a spark leading into 2026. At her last tournament in Ningbo, Zhu Lin defeated 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu and Mirra Andreeva. Although Parks probably deserves some reward for her persistence, Zhu’s much superior recent form makes her the more likely winner.
Prediction: Zhu in 2
