Shelter to Soldier will host its second annual Salute to Paws 5K and Gratitude Festival for Dogs Sunday, Nov. 9, at Fox Point Farms in Encinitas.
The pup-optional 5K and festival will raise funds for programs that rescue dogs from shelters and train them to become service animals for post-9/11 veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma and other injuries.

Visitors will also have a chance to meet adoptable dogs from The Animal Pad on Rescue Row, supported by Petco Love.
