Will kids across Dallas-Fort Worth need a jacket this Halloween? It depends on how late they’ll be out collecting candy.

Halloween will come at the tail end of the first colder-than-normal week North Texas has seen in some time. But the gusty winds creating a wind advisory on Tuesday and Wednesday should be over by trick-or-treating time.

The high for Friday is 70 degrees, expected to arrive around 4 p.m. The temperature should fall to 64 degrees by 7 p.m. and down to 59 degrees by 9 p.m.

If you’ve got Halloween plans other nights of the weekend, the forecast looks pretty similar. No rain is expected, and the temperature progression Saturday evening should be similar. Thursday night should be a little colder, at 60 degrees by 7 p.m.
