The Ramona Sentinel won a total of nine awards, including three for first place, in the San Diego Press Club’s 52nd annual Excellence in Journalism Awards competition.
The ceremony was held Oct. 28 at the Encore Event Center in San Diego.
The competition is among the largest in the country, honoring the work by hundreds of San Diego County media and communications professionals, according to the organization.
Reporter Julie Gallant won three awards, including a first-place honor, in the Non-daily newspapers category.
