The Intuit Dome’s already getting some upgrades after opening less than two years ago.

The first new feature the Los Angeles Clippers announced is its Wave Makers program, a rewards system for its most loyal fans. Clippers faithful can complete missions on game days to earn experience points, which can then be exchanged for prizes such as reduced concessions and upgraded tickets.

This is the first fan loyalty system in the NBA, and the team’s website says it’s designed to “make every fan the ‘Sixth Man’ at Intuit Dome.” The program also has badges that fans can earn in various ways, such as getting to the game 30 minutes early or being the loudest fan in the crowd.

There is also a ranking system, where fans can compete against one another across the entire season and “level up” by completing missions.

The Clippers are also partnering with Candy Crush Saga to display the game on the arena’s Halo Board jumbotron during halftime. Spectators can compete against one another before the start of the third quarter using the controllers attached to their seats.

“Candy Crush’s iconic gameplay aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience for every fan at Intuit Dome,” said Gillian Zucker, CEO of Halo Sports & Entertainment. “As we continue to amplify the energy in the bowl, we’re tipping off the second half with a game that takes over the entire arena.”

Candy Crush is partnered with the Clippers through the 2028-29 season.

The Clippers played the 2024-25 NBA season in the arena, which introduced several ideas and experiences the league had not yet seen.

The most notable of these is “The Wall,” which has a standing-only section where 300 fans pack  51 rows right next to the visiting team’s bench. The Wall fits about 4,500 fans in total, and spectators who sit there are banned from wearing the opposing team’s gear.

Intuit Dome is one of the most technologically advanced arenas in the NBA. Each seat has its own USB port and a decibel meter that displays the noise coming from every individual fan.

In addition to hosting the Clippers’ home games this year, the Intuit Dome will also host the 2026 NBA All-Star Game.
