Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has not led in the polls since losing the Democratic primary in late June.

Polls in October have given the party’s nominee Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani a double-digit lead, consistent with most polling since July, though several polls show the race tightening.

A Suffolk University poll released on Monday put Mamdani at 44 percent and Cuomo at 34 percent, with Cuomo cutting his rival’s lead in half from Suffolk’s September poll, where the Democrat was at 45 percent and the independent on 25 percent.

A poll from the Manhattan Institute, also released Monday, gave Mamdani a 15-point lead, 46 percent to Cuomo’s 31 percent.

Polling by Quinnipiac earlier in October showed an increase in support for Cuomo, when compared with its September survey: 33 percent up from 23 percent. However, Mamdani’s support remained steady: 45 percent in September versus 46 percent in October.

Meanwhile, a Victory Insights poll published last week put Mamdani 18 points ahead of Cuomo, 47 percent to 29 percent.
