OSBURN, Idaho — Idaho Fish and Game is asking for help solving two separate wildlife crimes that happened near Osburn earlier this month.
The first crime is believed to have happened on Oct. 19 when an elk was shot and left to waste off Nuchols Gulch Road. The elk was shot behind the shoulder and no meat was taken from the animal.
The second crime happened between Oct. 19 and Oct. 22. It involved a mule deer doe that was illegally killed during a closed season. The quarters and backstraps of the deer were taken.
Fish and Game says a monetary reward will be requested for anyone that can provide credible, detailed information that helps identify those responsible and lead to any relevant charges.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call the Citizens Against Poaching hotline at 1-800-632-5999. You can also report tips online by clicking here.
