In a city defined by momentum and growth, leadership takes many forms. Some lead from the front lines of education, others from boardrooms or creative studios — but all share one common challenge: balancing ambition with authenticity.

This year’s Women’s Leadership Summit: Redefining Ambition & Success invites Fort Worth’s business and community leaders to reexamine what it means to lead, achieve, and thrive. The afternoon summit, hosted by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, brings together voices from across industries to explore a more grounded, fulfilling approach to success — one rooted in purpose and impact rather than relentless pace.

A Conversation on Leadership with Dr. Karen Molinar

As Superintendent of the Fort Worth Independent School District, Dr. Karen Molinar holds one of the most complex and high-stakes leadership roles in our city. Responsible for shaping the future of more than 70,000 students, her work touches nearly every corner of the community — influencing the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and leaders.

At the Women’s Leadership Summit, Dr. Molinar will share her personal leadership journey, offering insight into the philosophy and mindset that sustain her through times of challenge and change. Attendees will hear how she has built resilience and focus over a career dedicated to public service, and how she continues to lead with clarity, compassion, and conviction.

Her keynote is about what it means to lead when the stakes are high and the path forward is complex. It’s about staying true to one’s values, leading with courage, and finding calm in the storm.

For women in leadership across every field — from entrepreneurs and executives to educators and creatives — Dr. Molinar’s story is a powerful reminder that leadership is as much about who you are as what you do.

Panel Discussion: Redefining Ambition & Success

Before Dr. Molinar’s keynote, the event will feature a thought-provoking panel conversation exploring how women leaders are reshaping the traditional definitions of success.

Moderated by Faith Geiger, founder of TULLA, a Fort Worth-based leadership and mindfulness coaching firm, the discussion will challenge outdated ideas of achievement — the “always-on,” “hustle-harder” mentality — and instead center on the pursuit of balance, fulfillment, and authenticity.

Joining the panel are two of Fort Worth’s most respected leaders:

Jennifer Treviño, Executive Director of Leadership Fort Worth, who brings a community-first perspective on developing leaders that lift others as they climb.

Ashley Freer, President of Balcom Agency, who leads one of Fort Worth’s most established marketing firms and champions creative leadership that values collaboration over competition.

Together, they’ll discuss what ambition looks like in today’s landscape — how it evolves as life changes, and how defining success on one’s own terms can lead to stronger, more intentional leadership.
