The annual Diwali SA celebration took place Saturday night at Hemisfair, bringing thousands of people downtown to celebrate the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
The gathering, which celebrates a holiday originated on the Indian subcontinent, is recognized as the nation’s largest city-sponsored Diwali event. As per usual, it featured dance, light displays, music, artwork, handcrafts and plenty of delicious street food.
The entire event ended with a massive fireworks display over the Tower of the Americas.
