Little had been in a slump after missing four attempts, double the number of missed his entire rookie season in 2024

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Las Vegas Raiders: Keys to victory
The Florida Times-Union gets you started with the keys to victory for the Jaguars against the Las Vegas Raiders.
- Jaguars kicker Cam Little set a new NFL record with a 68-yard field goal against the Raiders.
- The record-breaking kick occurred on the final play of the first half, cutting the Raiders’ lead to 6-3.
- Little had been in a recent slump, having made 10 of 14 attempts prior to this game.
Now that’s the way to break a kicking slump.
Jacksonville Jaguars second-year kicker Cam Little broke the NFL record for the longest field goal when he booted a 68-yarder on the final play in the first half on Nov. 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The kick, which cleared the crossbar with room to spare, cut a 6-0 Raiders lead to 6-3.
The Jaguars started their possession at their own 31-yard line after the Raiders scored to cap a 95-yard drive on Geno Smith’s 7-yard TD pass to Brock Bowers with 39 seconds left in the half.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence set the attempt up when he threw an 18-yard pass to Parker Washington to the 50-yard line. With no timeouts left, Lawrence rushed the offense to the ball and spiked it with four seconds left.
Little, who made a 70-yard field goal in a preseason game at home against Pittsburgh, has been in a slump and had made 10 of 14 attempts entering the game, as well as missing his first conversion as a college or pro kicker.
His missed, three of the four coming wide right, were from 47 yards twice and 50 yards twice.
Little went home during the bye week and practiced at his old high school field in Moore, Okla., with his father, to, as he said, “get back to my roots.”
His previous long field goal was 59 yards last year against Detroit, which also tied the Jaguars’ record with Josh Scobee and Josh Lambo.
Little tied the game early in the third quarter with a 32-yard attempt. The attempt barely slid inside the left upright, from 36 yards closer than Little’s record kick.
