Chicago police were investigating after a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed inside a Burger King in the city’s Archer Heights neighborhood, law enforcement said.
The shooting was reported at approximately 7:05 p.m. inside the fast food restaurant, 4060 S. Pulaski Rd. According to police, the teenager was inside the business when a suspect in a Jeep SUV pulled up and fired multiple shots toward the victim.
The teenager was shot in the head and taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Video captured by an NBC Chicago photographer showed a portion of the property blocked off by crime scene tape and a number of law enforcement officers on the scene.
Additional information about the shooting hadn’t been released as of Sunday night.
