A few tickets remain available for the Nov. 16 Sparkle Foundation luncheon to be held at Season’s 52 in the Biltmore Fashion Square.

Honorary Chairs for the event are Paradise Valley residents, Ken and Brenda Kirk. Through their private foundation, the Kirks have long supported non-profits making a difference in the community, according to a press release. Brenda was among the first in the community to lend guidance and financial support to Sparkle, a non-profit assisting single moms and their children throughout the Valley.

The luncheon is to be underwritten by the Kirk’s and fellow Paradise Valley residents Bill and Debbie Pain. Bill and Debbie are philanthropists in their own right, supporting various charitable organizations in the Denver and Phoenix area.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Judy Robles. Robles currently serves in Sun Devil Athletics at Arizona State University. She is co-founder the Robles Unstoppable Foundation along with her son, Anthony.

Sparkle provides funding for one-time scholarships for the children of single moms for programs in sports, art, theater, tutoring, camps, music, dance and technology. In 2021, Sparkle launched SparkleBiz, a micro-lending program for single mothers who want to start or grow a business. The loans are provided at zero percent interest for a three-year period, and each recipient is assigned a board of consultants to assist her in pursuit of excellence and achievement.
