Wild game this holiday season? Yes, please. On Thanksgiving Day, Rainbow Lodge will serve a three-course meal priced at $85 per person (plus tax, gratuity, and beverages), or $45 for kids (with kid-friendly options). Adults will start with a choice of appetizers, including its iconic smoked duck gumbo, a trio of wild game, or the autumn salad. For the entrée, choose from a beef tenderloin filet, a Southern-style roast turkey, seared Alaskan halibut, or a harvest-season wild-game mixed grill (vegetarian options are also available upon request). End the night with a warm croissant bread pudding, chocolate mousse cake, tres leches, a lemon icebox pie tart, or an affogato. Reservations can be made online or by phone, and $7 snack packs, equipped with enough turkey, gravy, and dressing to build a sandwich, are available to take home.

For takeout: Fool your guests into thinking you cooked, or give credit where credit is due, and take home a whole roasted turkey ($145), beef tenderloin ($249), bison tenderloin ($420), venison loin ($300), a rack of lamb ($120), a whole grilled Texas quail ($24), or whole roasted or smoked duck ($65). Sides, priced at $24 each, include French green beans with shallots, wild mushroom risotto, Southern-style corn bread dressing, roasted brussels sprouts, and mashed potatoes, plus a croissant bread pudding with whiskey sauce for dessert. Orders can be picked up between Tuesday, November 25, and Thanksgiving Day, but should be placed at least three days in advance.
