SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) – A Texas man died after crashing into a barrier outside a refinery on Cities Service Highway overnight.
The man was driving south around 1:15 a.m. when he missed the right turn near Citgo’s Lake Charles Refinery, Louisiana State Police Troop D spokesperson Roy Jones said. His vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier and entered Citgo property, hitting some pipes.
The man died at the scene, Trooper Jones said. His identity has not yet been released.
No hazardous materials were released, Trooper Jones said.
