Cook Children’s Health Care System is relocating its only pediatric office in Arlington to a larger space in order to serve more patients.

The new office, 451 Highlander Blvd., is less than 2 miles south of its current location. Cook Children’s also has a neighborhood health center in Arlington.

In a statement to the Arlington Report, Cook Children’s said the new office will be about 30% larger than the current office and help physicians better serve patients.

“Our decision to relocate Cook Children’s Pediatrics Arlington is a direct investment in the families we serve,” the statement read.

Cook Children’s Pediatrics Arlington provides services ranging from immunizations to sports physicals.

Construction on the new location will be completed in January and open in spring of 2026. The 6,734-square-foot, single-story building will boast 15 exam rooms, treatment and lab spaces, and a waiting area for families, according to a press release from Adolfson & Peterson Construction.

“Our team is committed to delivering a safe, functional and welcoming space that supports the clinic’s mission of improving children’s health and well-being,” said Bob Lemke, vice president of operations at Adolfson & Peterson.

The planned relocation comes at a time of general growth for the health care system. Last year, Cook Children’s announced a 10-year expansion plan for its Fort Worth Medical District campus, including the construction of a new tower and the expansion of the facility’s neonatal intensive care unit.

Cook Children’s has also continued to build new neighborhood health centers in Tarrant County, including in east Fort Worth and the Las Vegas Trail neighborhood.

The health care system has 47 primary care offices across North Texas, including over a dozen in Tarrant County, and nine neighborhood health centers.
