A second suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in Fort Worth on Oct. 5 has been arrested, police Chief Eddie García said.

Jason Nash, 23, was taken into custody in south Fort Worth Wednesday afternoon after being tracked by the department’s fugitive units, the police chief said in a social media post.

Nash faces a murder charge, according to Fort Worth police records.

As of Wednesday night, Nash was being held at Fort Worth police detention facility, according to police records.

It was unclear if bond has been set. It was also not immediately clear if Nash has an attorney.

The first suspect, Akrell Ross, 20, was arrested on Oct. 8 near the 5400 block of Huffines Boulevard and is also facing a murder charge.

Garcia did not immediately disclose details about the effort to find and apprehend Nash, who had was wanted in the slaying of Patrique Allen, 31.

Allen was killed while at the Social Liv nightclub in the 3000 block of Bledsoe Street at about 1:40 a.m. on Oct. 5, police said.

A motive for the shooting has not been disclosed, although investigators suspected it may be gang related, police said previously.

Police found Allen with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. He died at the scene, police said previously.

Five others with injuries were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

No other information about the arrests or investigation were immediately available.
