Garmin has released another beta update for the Fenix 7, Fenix 7x, Fenix 7S, Epix, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and MARQ Gen 2 smartwatches. Beta version 23.31 arrives a couple of weeks after the last release, beta version 23.28, which fixed a problem related to inReach messages.

The change log for beta version 23.31 lists one change for the Garmin Fenix 7 and related smartwatches. With this update, the wearables are said to gain enhanced stability for the inReach Remote feature. This tool allows users to send messages, start or stop tracking, and trigger an SOS on a paired iReach satellite communicator via their watch.

In a recent post on the Garmin forum, a representative for the company indicated that beta version 23.31 was now available for all users of the Fenix 7, Epix, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and MARQ Gen 2 smartwatches. It should be pushed to eligible wearables over the air, but can also be manually downloaded when you go to Main Menu > System > Software Update > Check for Updates. It is worth noting that the ECG and Dive features remain disabled with this release, as is usual for such beta updates. It remains to be seen when a new stable version of the 23.xx software update will roll out to all users of the Fenix 7 series smartwatches (Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar 51 mm curr. $670 at Amazon).
