KAMLOOPS — Details remain limited but Kamloops RCMP have swarmed NorKam Secondary School for an unspecified threat.

In a brief statement issued Thursday (Nov. 6), the Kamloops-Thompson School District (SD73) said the building has been locked down and they’re asking people to stay away at this time.

“The RCMP have initiated a lockdown at NorKam Secondary School,” SD73 Director of Communications Chelsea Isenor told CFJC. “More details will be provided when available.”

CFJC has a reporter at the scene and we’ve also reached out to Kamloops RCMP for information about the situation. Unconfirmed reports are that Kamloops Christian School, which is adjacent to NorKam, is also on lock down.
