A clever twist on the popular ’70s and ’80s paint-by-number fad, Paint by Sticker provides a relatively mess-free way to conjure your inner child.
Organizers of a Paint by Sticker event this Saturday at Roosevelt High School’s Molly Pruitt Library encourage participants to recreate artistic masterpieces — the perfect opportunity for rewriting art history, or at least a little creative revisionism.
Think Georges Seurat’s pointillist masterpiece A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte fashioned out of tiny squares, or Edvard Munch’s The Scream festooned with Teletubbies.
Surely something wall-worthy can come out of this experiment.
Free, 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, Molly Pruitt Library at Roosevelt High School, 5110 Walzem Road, (210) 650-1122, mysapl.org.
