OSU is favored by 20.5 (with an over/under of 52.5) according to the latest odds from The Action Network.

Follow along below for live updates from Reser Stadium:

4TH QUARTER:

  • 7:04: Wells makes a huge 27-yard catch off a beautiful pass from Johnson at the SAM 25 and carries it another 8 yards.
  • 8:22: Beavers don’t appear too shaken by the momentum shift. Johnson comes out strong on the next drive with a 28-yard completion to Wells.
  • Beavers go to punt on fourth-and-8, but it’s blocked. Sam Houston recovers and takes it 31 yards for a touchdown. Bearkats lead 21-17. 8:38, 4Q
  • 9:56: Johnson narrowly avoids a pick after a pass slips through the fingers of a defender and miraculously lands in Walker’s hands.
  • 10:39: It’s a three-and-out for Sam Houston State. Fair catch by Walker at the OSU 30.
  • 12:13: Hankerson’s a few yards short on third-and-6 and OSU will opt to punt. A delay of game penalty pushes them back to their own 48 before Winsor kicks the ball away to the Sam Houston 18.
  • 14:48: Johnson’s on the move as he hits Wells for a big 17-yard gain. Wells picks up some additional yardage to bring the Beavers to the OSU 46.

3RD QUARTER:

  • 0:01: Vadrawale breaks up a deep pass near the 5-yard line, the ball bouncing off helmets. The quarter then closes out with another incomplete pass, broken up by Hill. Score remains at Oregon 17, Sam Houston, 14. END 3Q.
  • 1:28: Sam Houston found some rhythm and is putting together its longest drive of the night, literally hurdling over the Beavers’ defense at times.
  • 5:18: Glasper exhibits some solid defense to break up a deep pass at the OSU 33.
  • 6:04: Beavers reached the opposing 15 after an offensive holding penalty set them back. Johnson is unable to reach Milbourne on fourth-and-5 and OSU turns it over on downs.
  • 8:12: Johnson appeared to connect with Wells Jr. at the Sam Houston 16, but the catch was overturned after a review.
  • 10:02: Johnson picks up another 23 yards with two more completions to Hankerson. The QB’s up to 194 yards on the night.
  • 10:38: Johnson sends a pass up the middle for a 21-yard completion to Milbourn, who takes it another 4 yards to the opposing 45. First down, Beavers.
  • 11:20: Tucker nearly gets the sack on Sam Houston’s third-and-9 as Mettauer throws the ball away. Beavers force the punt, fair catch at the OSU 28 by Walker.
  • 12:10: Johnson can’t hit Boschma on third-and-4 at the opposing 29 and OSU brings out the kicking team. Ojeda’s 46-yard field goal attempt is no good.
  • 14:28: Hankerson picks up back-to-back first downs with 32 yards on the Beavers’ next drive.
  • Two offsetting penalties had the Beavers redoing the opening kickoff to the Bearkats. On the replay, Sam Houston’s Tim Burns Jr. weaves his way through the OSU defense, returning it 98 yards for the touchdown. Extra point is good. OSU 17, Sam Houston, 14:42 Q3.

2ND QUARTER:

  • Caleb Ojeda’s 49-yard field goal is blocked. HALF: OSU 17, Sam Houston 7.
  • Beavers tried to get a play off with 0:07 left in the half, but Trent Walker doesn’t appear to get out of bounds in time. After review, they put 0:01 on the clock.
  • 0:07: Wild run for Gabarri Johnson for a gain of 21. OSU at the opposing 32.
  • 0:25: Insane catch from David Wells Jr. along the sideline. Reached up, pulled it down and hung on with one hand, and he taps the toe.
  • Touchdown Bearkats. Mettauer finds Chris Reed in the back of the end zone, as he boxes out Jalil Tucker for the 35-yard score. 17-7 OSU now, 1:14 2Q.
  • 1:20: Gabarri Johnson started 11-11 for 109 yards, but Caufield can’t haul in pass No. 12. And the tip drill results in an interception for Sam Houston State.
  • 2:00: Taz Reddicks is down and injured for OSU. Did not look good, and teammates gather around him. But he walks off under his own power.
  • 4:43: Sam Houston punt downed at the OSU five-yard line. Long field to work with for the Beavers.
  • 6:16: Sam Houston’s Mabrey Mettauer scrambles for 28 yards. Not the contain OSU needs on the QB.
  • Anthony Hankerson rumbles, tumbles and runs his way to a 13-yard touchdown. 15 rushes for 85 yards and two touchdowns for him so far on senior day. 17-0 Beavers, 6:53 2Q.
  • 7:33: Holding on the defense saves a promising drive for OSU. They are at the opposing 26.
  • 11:58: Gabe Milbourn with a nice catch and run for OSU, gain of 26.
  • Sam Houston misses a 28-yard field goal. It remains 10-0 Beavers.
  • 13:29: Jalil Tucker with the PBU on the edge of the end zone. Beavers force a field goal attempt.
  • 14:55: Bearkats appear to score a TD on the first play of Q2, but an ineligible player downfield kills it.

1ST QUARTER:

  • Trent Walker makes a catch, but he fumbles and it’s recovered by Sam Houston deep in OSU territory to end the first quarter. 10-0 Beavers.
  • 0:05: OSU gets a stop on third and long. They will take over at their own 25 after the punt.
  • 2:52: Beavers try to get cute with a flea-flicker. Only problem is nobody was open and Gabarri Johnson had little protection. Johnson takes two straight big hits and OSU will punt.
  • 5:00: Beavers get the stop on fourth and short. They take over near midfield.
  • 36-yard field goal is GOOD from Caleb Ojeda. 10-0 Beavers, 8:00 1Q.
  • 10:13: Five-yard run by Hankerson, add another 15 for a facemask. Beavers already in the red zone.
  • 10:20: Walker Harris throws himself onto the QB for the sack, and OSU forces a three-and-out. Beavers start at the opposing 39 after a bad punt.
  • 11:55: Touchdown Beavers. Direct snap to Hankerson, who finishes the opening drive with 5 carries for 41 yards and a score. 7-0 Oregon State.
  • 12:25: Eddie Freauff with a nice catch along the sideline, a couple moves, and a first and goal at the two.
  • 13:45: Three straight first downs on runs by Anthony Hankerson. This Sam Houston defense looks… shellshocked.
  • Electric opening kickoff return for a new face: Elijah Washington takes it to the OSU 29.
  • Sam Houston wins the toss and defers. OSU will receive.

PREGAME:

  • Beavers going through senior night festivities, so kickoff is slated for 7:10 p.m.
  • Tight end Carson Kolb warming up with the linebackers. Beavers’ depth being tested at that position due to injuries.
  • TJ Crandall is warming up in uniform for the Beavers. First time all season.
  • Salahadin Allah warming up in full for OSU as well. Could see him in action tonight.
  • Gabarri Johnson warming up in full for the Beavers. Has both ankles taped.
