DFW shops on Yelp’s Top 100 Ice Cream Shops 2025 list – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

As National Ice Cream Day approaches, four North Texas shops are being recognized as some of the best in the country.

Yelp’s 2025 list of Top 100 Ice Cream Shops in the U.S. features scoop shops from Dallas, Plano and Richardson.

Here’s where they landed:

• No. 14: Botolino Gelato Artigianale – Dallas is known for its authentic Italian gelato crafted with local Texas ingredients.
• No. 36: Sugar Pine Creamery – Plano – Offers blends of Eastern and Western tastes
• No. 53: Churn And Bake Ice Cream – Plano – Specializes in Asian inspired flavors and offers small-batch ice cream and creative ice cream cookie sandwiches.
• No. 81: Sweet Firefly – Richardson – A neighborhood favorite featuring hand-crafted ice cream, cakes and nostalgic candies.

Yelp’s rankings are based on review volume, star ratings and user submissions from across the country.

National Ice Cream Day is celebrated annually on the third Sunday in July. This year, it falls on July 20.
