SAN DIEGO — Triton women’s rowing had eight boats on the water Sunday at the San Diego Fall Classic, the team’s lone event of the fall.

The Tritons had three boats in the women’s open 8+ event, one boat in the women’s open frosh 8+ event and four boats in the women’s open 4+ event. Both open races had at least 20 entries. The frosh race had eight boats, with the Tritons finishing second.

The head races saw teams set out on the long-distance course individually in a time-trial format. They were then ranked based on their final times. The Mission Bay course began near the South Shores Boat Ramp before continuing around Vacation Isle and finishing in front of Crown Point Park.
