On Friday, Phoenix nerdcore rapper Mega Ran was nominated for a 2026 Grammy for his album “Buddy’s Magic Tree House” in the Best Children’s Music Album category.
He’s a Show favorite, someone we’ve had on the program a few times over the years.
Here he is at our live event at the Crescent Ballroom back in September.
“I’m ready for anything because I used to teach middle school y’all. And uh, I’ve definitely learned if you can do that … this is easy,” he said.
Here’s a few lines from a song on that album, “The Library Jawn”:
“OK, I want to talk to you about my favorite place in the world, the library.
Any readers out here? Excellent.
So again I wrote this for my kids. We were trying to learn how to spell it …”
The 2026 Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026.
