A $100 million luxury apartment complex is planned for the warehouse district in downtown Phoenix.
The Amara is a new seven-story apartment building set to be built between Grant and Lincoln streets. The complex will also be near the Phoenix Mercury practice facilities and offices.
New York-based developer Gallium plans to attract young professionals to the complex.
Jaf Glazer, managing director for Gallium, says the building will serve as a destination and include wellness amenities like hyperbaric chambers.
“It’s going to have distinct offerings, and it’s going to be generally just a higher echelon of building than other buildings built around it,” he said.
Glazer says developers plan to break ground in the fall or winter of 2026 and the project will take about 18 to 24 months to complete.
