Actor Joey Lawrence and his wife Samantha Cope revealed they are expecting their second child together, marking a new chapter after reconciling from a brief separation last year.
The couple shared the news on the red carpet before the Nov. 11 episode of “Dancing With the Stars.” While discussing their coordinated outfits with “Entertainment Tonight,” Lawrence gestured to Cope’s abdomen and remarked, “Nothing is planned, not even this.”
The baby will be a boy, making him Lawrence’s first son. The actor has two daughters from his previous marriage to Chandie Yawn-Nelson and shares a daughter with Cope, Parade noted.
The pregnancy announcement comes nearly a year after the couple reunited.
Cope filed for divorce in August 2024, citing irreconcilable differences, but the pair had reconciled by December 2024, Page Six said.
The divorce filing followed rumors linking Lawrence to an alleged affair with Melina Alves, his co-star in “Socked in for Christmas,” according to TMZ.
Parade added that Lawrence addressed the speculation in a since-deleted Instagram post, stating:
“Melina and I became close friends and I did not have a physical relationship with her while filming the movie ‘Socked in for Christmas.’ These rumors are false. Our bond was based on shared experiences and an understanding of the challenges we were both facing in our personal lives.”
